Langkawi SkyBridge is a curved suspended walkway on Mount Machinchang, reached from the SkyCab Top Station. Completed in 2004, its path changes the view across jungle and the surrounding landscape. Ride up Mount Machinchang, then follow the curved suspended walkway from the SkyCab Top Station. The changing angle along the bridge gives you different views over the jungle and surrounding landscape.

Good to know

SkyBridge and SkyGlide close when SkyCab is closed, and the operator’s calendar may change; check it before you go. SkyGlide is an alternative to the jungle trail, with a separate ticket. Take a taxi, private transfer or e-hailing ride from your accommodation to the SkyCab entrance; Langkawi has no public buses or trains.

Seven Wells waterfall (Telaga Tujuh)

Nature 1.5 hours
Seven Wells Waterfall

Telaga Tujuh, or Seven Wells, is a Mount Machinchang waterfall named for pools formed by cascading water. Natural rock hollows shaped by fast-flowing water make pools at the top, while larger pools sit at the foot. See how the cascading water has shaped natural pools in the rock, with larger pools at the foot and more at the top. The rainforest approach and steep upper section make this a more active waterfall stop.

Good to know

Choose the lower pools if you want to avoid the steep stair climb. Rocks beside the water can be slippery, and currents may be strong. From Langkawi SkyCab and Sky Bridge, walk about 20 minutes on foot to the waterfall approach.

Durian Perangin waterfall

Nature 1.5 hours
Durian Perangin Waterfall

Durian Perangin is a multi-level waterfall descending Gunung Raya’s slopes, with freshwater pools among forest and rock formations. Its name refers to nearby durian trees and the cooling breeze. Follow the short rainforest trail to a multi-level cascade with freshwater pools. Bridges, picnic gazebos and places to rest make this a different kind of waterfall visit from the steeper walk at Seven Wells.

Good to know

Take care on the short rainforest trek; the base has toilets, food stalls and places to rest. From Seven Wells, travel 23.4 km; the drive is about 26 minutes by car or e-hailing ride, longer in traffic.

Kilim Karst Geoforest Park

Nature half a day
Kilim Karst Geoforest Park

Kilim Karst Geoforest Park lies in northeastern Langkawi around the Kilim River and estuary. Limestone pinnacles, cliffs, caves and hills meet mudflats and mangrove ecosystems; boat routes pass these formations. A guided boat trip brings you through mangrove waterways beneath limestone cliffs and past karst features. Depending on the package, the outing may also include eagle watching or a cave visit.

Good to know

Check what your chosen boat-tour package includes, especially if you want to visit Bat Cave or Crocodile Cave; activities vary by package. Arrange a taxi, private transfer or e-hailing ride to Kilim River Tourism Jetty, where guided boat tours depart.

Getting to Tanjung Rhu beach
24–34 min by car · 16.1 km · depends on traffic

Tanjung Rhu beach

Nature 1.5 hours
Tanjung Rhu Beach

Tanjung Rhu is a beach on Langkawi’s northern cape, named for its casuarina trees. Its wide sandy shore faces nearby islands, with mangroves, limestone caves and karst formations in the surrounding area. Finish on a wide sandy shore with nearby islands visible from the beach. The surrounding landscape includes mangroves and limestone formations, giving you a coastal change of scene after the boat trip.

Good to know

At low tide, nearby islands may be reachable on foot, but the walk has no regular schedule; check local tide conditions before relying on it. From Kilim, travel 16.03 km; it is about 20 minutes by car or e-hailing ride, longer in traffic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is two days enough for this Langkawi nature itinerary?
Two days cover the SkyCab and Sky Bridge, two waterfalls, a Kilim boat outing and Tanjung Rhu beach. The first day has a walk between the cable-car area and Seven Wells plus a road transfer. Keep the second day for the mangrove trip and beach, and check what activities your boat-tour package includes.
What should I arrange or check first?
Arrange island transport first: the transport guide describes taxis, private transfers and e-hailing, but no public buses or trains. Check the SkyCab operator calendar before day one, since SkyBridge and SkyGlide close when SkyCab is closed. For Kilim, check the boat-tour package details so you know which stops it includes.
What should I wear and bring for the waterfalls and coast?
Wear shoes with grip for the steep, potentially slippery approach at Seven Wells, and bring rain protection for Langkawi’s common afternoon showers. There is no temple or mosque stop on these days. If you add one, follow its posted dress guidance and remove shoes where asked.
How do you get around between these stops?
Use a taxi, private transfer or e-hailing ride for island road transfers; there are no public buses or trains. The SkyCab area and Seven Wells are about 20 minutes apart on foot. Durian Perangin is 23.4 km from Seven Wells, while Tanjung Rhu is 16.03 km from Kilim.
Where should you stay for these Langkawi stops?
Pantai Cenang is one possible base if you want a beach area with many stays nearby: this site has 267 stays within 1 km of the beach. The nature stops are spread around Langkawi, so plan rides for each day rather than relying on public transport, and check availability before booking.
